Where Consumer Brands Can Submit Products for Review & Get Featured (2026)

Your product is on shelves, or close to it, and most of the people who would love it have never heard of it. Ads get expensive fast. One honest write-up in the right place can build more trust than a month of them.

Editors, awards panels and launch platforms all take submissions from brands, but each one wants something different. This guide lists the places our editors confirmed are open to brand submissions in October 2026, what each one asks for, and how to pitch so your email gets read.

If packaging is part of your pitch, our piece on designing a package the customer actually gets is a useful companion read.

The short version: Consumer brands can submit products directly to editors at Trending Consumerism, VegNews, Dieline and Design Milk, answer gift-guide requests from journalists through SourceBottle or Qwoted, and enter programs such as the NEXTY Awards or BevNET's New Beverage Showdown. Direct editorial pitches are free. Send a short note, two or three clean photos, the price, where it's sold and why shoppers need it now.

1. Editors you can pitch directly: free submissions

These outlets accept product pitches straight from brands and don’t charge to submit. Some want samples up front and some want photos first, so read each page before you ship anything.

How to pitch so you actually get featured

Product editors see a lot of pitches, and the ones that land make the editor's job easy.

  • Lead with the shopper, not the founder story. One sentence on who the product is for and what it fixes beats three paragraphs of brand history.
  • Put price, size and where to buy in the first few lines. Writers building roundups need those facts and often skip pitches that hide them.
  • Send one photo on a plain white background and one lifestyle shot, sized small enough to open on a phone.
  • Ask before you ship samples unless the outlet's page says to send them. An unrequested box often goes nowhere.
  • Pitch an angle, not just a product. A new ingredient, a seasonal use or a shift in how people shop gives an editor a reason to write now.
  • Follow up once, about a week later, then move on. One polite nudge is fine; a string of them is not.

Frequently asked questions

Where can consumer brands submit products for review in 2026?

Start with outlets that take brand pitches directly, such as Trending Consumerism, VegNews, Dieline and Design Milk. Add journalist request services like SourceBottle and Qwoted for gift guides, and category programs like the NEXTY Awards for natural products.

Do I have to pay to get my product featured?

No. Editorial pitches to the outlets on this list are free. Awards, pitch competitions and some discovery platforms charge entry fees, event registration or subscriptions, and those are separate from editorial coverage.

How do I get featured in Trending Consumerism?

Use the form on this page. An editor reviews every submission and gets in touch if your product fits our coverage. We don't offer paid placement and can't promise a feature.

When should I pitch holiday gift guides?

Earlier than most brands expect. Gift guides are planned months before they publish, so pitch holiday products by early fall and watch request services for gift-guide call-outs from late summer on.

Should I send free samples with my pitch?

Only when an outlet asks for them or says so on its submission page, as VegNews does. Otherwise send photos and facts first, and ship samples once an editor requests them.
